Your resume must show that you have a strong working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Microsoft Word, and Social Media Marketing and be technologically savvy. The Office Manager will be responsible for performing administrative and professional tasks including the following: data research, data entry, event planning, mass email campaigns, social media campaigns, scheduling, follow-up calls and answering calls in a manner that will elevate the mission of the Center. Please understand you will be tasked with updating, correcting and enhancing file systems, databases and website content. The Office Manager will play a key role in assisting Business Center staff with various tasks and will be expected to complete tasks on time; with weekly reporting of those tasks.

The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Maryland Business Center, owned and operated by L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. (LSC) is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce. MBDA is the only federal agency created specifically to foster growth of minority-owned businesses throughout the United States. MBDA is an entrepreneurially focused organization committed to wealth creation in minority communities.

The Assistant will be expected to provide support, as assigned, to the Business Center’s Program Director, Senior Business Development Specialists and Marketing Outreach Coordinator and will be required to work in alignment with LSC staff members as needed.
The Office Manager will be required to attend weekly and bi-weekly virtual meetings with the Owner/Operator (LSC) and Maryland MBDA Business Center Staff. The Office Manager will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement before being hired as the materials and meetings are confidential.
Annual salary is $60,000.00 - $65,000.00. Office hours are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Office Manager will be required to report to, and work from, the Maryland MBDA Business Center office located at 1 North Charles Street, Suite 707 Baltimore, MD 21201.
