Atom Computing is seeking an Office Manager in Berkeley, CA who will play a vital role in supporting our management, scientific, and engineering teams. The Office Manager will oversee general office duties such as replenishing office supplies, managing facility and vendor relationships, processing incoming mail, and answering and directing calls. The Office Manager will also provide part-time administrative and scheduling support to the Chief Scientist. The ideal candidate is an energetic, organized, and resourceful self-starter who would be willing to take on a variety of additional responsibilities as our company grows.
Job Requirements
- Serve as point person for staff questions regarding the office space and office policies
- Greet and interact with all office visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Maintain our visitor management software platform
- Oversee general office duties such as replenishing office supplies, managing facility and vendor relationships, processing incoming mail, and answering and directing calls
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional working environment for employees
- Coordinate with property management to maintain cleanliness, functionality, and general upkeep of the office
- Assist with meeting coordination both internally and externally
- Organize daily office lunches and serve as the primary point of contact for the company’s meal delivery platform for the Berkeley and Austin offices
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked kitchen and break room area
- Order, receive, and stock kitchen supplies such as snacks and beverages
- Provide calendar scheduling and administrative support as needed to the Chief Scientist
- Lead the coordination of relocating the Berkeley office from one location to another
- Perform other administrative and office management duties as assigned
- This is a full-time, non-remote position based out of our Berkeley, CA Office reporting to the VP of Finance with additional oversight from the Berkeley Site Committee
Experience & Education
- 2+ years of relevant administrative experience
- BS/BA in Business or related field preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial office setting.
- Ability to organize and systematically execute multiple projects at once with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Applications
- Judgment and discretion to maintain a level of confidentiality appropriate to various business situations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to see projects through to completion
- Adaptability and willingness to explore and implement new ideas with an open mind
- Capable of lifting objects that weigh up to 20 pounds.

The base salary range for this position is between $55,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we offer an annual bonus and equity in the company.
