Office Day Lead
Position Overview:
The Office Lead volunteer plays a key role in managing the administrative operations of our volunteer-driven organization. This individual ensures smooth day-to-day office functions, coordinates volunteers, and supports leadership.
Reports to – ask your questions of:
Officer on duty, if available.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Administration: Supports general office operations, including the management of files, supplies, and equipment.
Volunteer Coordination: Assists with recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers to support office functions. Able to perform all roles if needed.
Communication: Serve as the primary contact during their shift for inquiries, emails, and phone calls, ensuring timely responses, if necessary.
Record Keeping: Ensures volunteers record their volunteer hours and donations and sales are handled correctly.
Event & Meeting Support: Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing phone banking scripts, and coordinating logistics for events if needed.
Financial Assistance: Assist treasurer if needed.
Technology & Data Management: Ensure proper use of office software, maintain digital files, and help troubleshoot minor tech issues.
Security: Is aware of the security protocols and systems and how to manage emergencies. Has the ability to disable the building alarm when entering and set the alarm when leaving the building if needed.
Daily:
Open the office – follow all procedures
Check in with the officer on duty review job requests for:
Any important updates
Jobs/task priorities
Be prepared to assign volunteers tasks and monitor progress
Assure volunteers are signed up for the next shift
End of shift – make sure clear notes are left on each job/task for next shift
End of day – office is clean and closing procedures followed
Skills Required
- Manage general office operations including files, supplies, and equipment

It focuses on electing Democratic candidates to public office and promoting a platform based on human rights, social justice, and economic equity. The organization works to register voters, endorse candidates, and advocate for policies that benefit the community and ensure equal opportunity for all.
