Job Description

We are seeking a high-energy, patient-centered Office Coordinator to join our multispecialty team. You will be the "face" of our practice—managing complex phone systems and hospital communications—while maintaining the clinical skills to step into the back office at a moment's notice. This role requires a professional who remains calm under pressure and can pivot from administrative problem-solving to direct patient care. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-End Operations & Navigation:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact, navigating a multi-line phone system with professional etiquette.
    • Coordinate directly with hospital departments for patient records, discharges, and continuity of care.
    • Perform comprehensive patient intake, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
    • Manage financial transactions, including collecting co-payments and reconciling daily deposits.
  • Clinical Support (Back Office):
    • Transition to clinical duties to assist with patient flow, rooming patients of all ages (6+).
    • Perform clinical procedures: PhlebotomyEKGs, and capturing accurate vital signs.
    • Maintain clean, sterilized exam rooms and manage clinical supply inventory.
  • Patient Navigation:
    • Provide empathetic, age-appropriate care for patients ranging from children (6+) to adults.
    • Use critical thinking to prioritize urgent patient needs and resolve scheduling conflicts in stressful, fast-paced situations.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma required; Medical Assistant (MA) certification highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and multi-line phone hardware.
  • Clinical Skills: Demonstrated experience in venipuncture (Phlebotomy), EKG administration, and vitals.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional patience, ability to multitask, and a "self-starter" mentality. 

Additional Information

 

  • Ability to stand/walk for 60% of the shift and lift up to 20-30 lbs. 
  • Seeking optimistic and open minded individual to start immediately
  • Flexible scheduling between 10am-8:00pm five days per week. some Saturday work 10am-2pm once or twice monthly may be needed.

Skills Required
