The Office Administrative Associated for the Department of Engineering Education (EED) supports the department through the coordination, implementation, and/or management of departmental functions, including: coordinating Project Lead the Way and transfer credit reviews with the Assistant Chair for Undergraduate Studies and liaising with students and the Registrar’s Office regarding same; handles logistics of Engineering Science Minor (ESM) by maintaining current spreadsheet of ESM students, communicating with students and their major advisors regarding approved minor forms and Degree Audit Reports, and communicating ESM details with EED’s Director of Multidisciplinary Design Capstone;; assists Program Assistant with onboarding new EED faculty, staff, and students; utilizes the Student Information System (SIS) to enter all EED courses and secure teaching classrooms, serves as EED liaison for undergraduate courses with Registrar’s Office; tracks EED supplies/inventory and maintains adequate levels of office supplies, utilizes e-request system to order supplies as needed; assists with overall office management including textbook ordering, disbursement and tracking of keys, mail delivery, carpet cleaning and classroom cleaning schedule, final exam schedules, department room reservations; manages EED purchasing card, leads and coordinates planning of EED events, including EED Orientation; supports Assistant/Associate Chairs as needed, serves as backup to Program Assistant (EED Chair’s Assistant); performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated strong writing and computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask and work independently on a wide range of projects with varying deadlines; ability to work professionally and effectively with diverse communities and cultures; ability to execute assignments with minimal supervision.

Hiring Range: $19.28 - $25.19
The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.

What We Do
The Salmon P. Chase Center for Civics, Culture, and Society was established by the State of Ohio in 2023 to research and teach the historical ideas, traditions, and texts that have shaped the American constitutional order.
