The OFCI (Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed) Manager leads the strategic planning, procurement tracking, logistics, site receiving, and handoff of owner-procured, high-value mission-critical equipment. In hyper-scale and colocation data center builds, key electrical and mechanical infrastructure—such as generators, switchgear, UPS systems, chillers, and transformers—is sourced directly by the owner to secure lead times and scale pricing. This role ensures that all OFCI assets arrive on site on schedule, undamaged, fully tested, and seamlessly transferred to general contractors and commissioning teams.
What We Offer!
  • Competitive hourly rate

  • Guaranteed 5x10 work schedule (the last 10 hours are all OT)
  • 7 day a week per diem

  • 15 days PTO plus a floating holiday
  • Paid Sick Leave

  • 11 Paid Holidays

  • Medical, dental and vision insurance, and other voluntary ancillary coverage
  • 401k with Company Match
  • Career growth in mission-critical infrastructure
Qualifications
  • Mission-Critical Supply Chain & Vendor Management:

    • Serve as the primary operational link between long-lead equipment manufacturers (OEMs), internal supply chain teams, and site construction managers.

    • Oversee production tracking, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and lead-time milestones for critical power and cooling infrastructure (e.g., MV/LV switchgear, CRAHs/AHUs, battery storage, backup generators).

    • Ensure OEMs submit accurate technical submittals, BIM models, and wiring/piping schematics to engineering and contractor teams well ahead of delivery.

  • Logistics & Schedule Synchronization:

    • Build and maintain a real-time OFCI Equipment Master Tracking Matrix to track equipment status from manufacturing through transit, site arrival, setting, and energization.

    • Align vendor production and shipping dates with the master construction schedule (P6) to execute "Just-in-Time" site deliveries and avoid site congestion or double-handling.

    • Coordinate heavy-haul freight, specialized rigging, customs clearance (if overseas), and staging at off-site consolidation warehouses.

  • Site Receiving, Chain-of-Custody & Turnover:

    • Manage site-level arrival protocols, shipping damage inspections, and formal chain-of-custody handoffs to General Contractors and trade partners.

    • Ensure contractors properly store, protect, and maintain climate-control requirements for sensitive electrical and cooling equipment prior to pad setting and hookup.

    • Address interface discrepancies between OFCI equipment and contractor-installed interconnecting systems (raceways, piping, controls, structural pads).

  • Quality, Commissioning & Warranty Integration:

    • Partner with QA/QC and Commissioning (Cx) teams to track pre-functional checklists (PFCs), equipment startup, and vendor technician schedules for site acceptance testing (SAT).

    • Coordinate vendor field support, field modifications, technical service bulletins, and factory technicians during Level 1–5 commissioning phases.

    • Manage warranty start dates, spare parts inventories, and initial defect claims between OEMs and general contractors.

Qualifications & Technical Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent industry experience.

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience managing construction logistics, equipment procurement, or project engineering for mission-critical facilities (Data Centers, Semiconductor Fabs, High-Tech Industrial).

    • Direct experience with major data center OEMs (e.g., Schneider Electric, Eaton, Vertiv, Caterpillar, Cummins, ABB).

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Deep understanding of data center MEP infrastructure (UPS systems, generators, medium/low voltage switchgear, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, transformers).

    • Familiarity with commissioning levels (L1–L5) and project controls tools (Procore, Primavera P6, BIM 360, Layer, Tableau/Power BI).
