Nyx Earth - Propulsion System Working Student

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

The heart of a spacecraft lies in its propulsion system, and that's why we, at The Exploration Company, are dedicated to developing our own cutting-edge Propulsion Systems ensuring the highest level of efficiency and reliability in our space endeavours.

We want you as a talented Propulsion System Working Student to help us in our mission by supporting the development of in-house tools to model, size, optimize and simulate the propulsive system.

In your capacity as a Working Student, you will be responsible for the maintenance and feature implementation of in-house software tools. In addition, you will support the functional propulsion system engineering team in their daily activities with regards to propulsive system design.

Your role will be continuously evolving, but day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• feature implementation

• bug fixing

• unit test creation

• research activities

In the role of Working Student ideally, you will have the following:

• Minimum of a B.Sc. degree in engineering and related experience in designing, building, and testing fluid systems.

• Strong engineering fundamentals in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer.

• Excellent collaboration skills for working effectively with engineers from multiple teams.

• Fluent in English, French and German is an asset.
