The Role

As an NPO engineer, you will leverage AI/ML and data science to plan, design, and optimize customer communication networks strategically. It encompasses end-to-end lifecycle management, including deployment, integration, operations, and maintenance. The position involves consulting on network performance and executing detailed design activities for customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this role drives revenue generation through advanced, data-driven network transformation and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AIML UC ideation and development for the NPower tool, collaborating with the America team.
  • Improve digital penetration for long-term projects focused on network deployment and rollout.
  • Specialize in network optimization, including 5G Advanced (SA/NSA) technologies.
  • Work with Network Slicing, Geosynthesis (MDT), and Wireshark Log/Trace analysis.
  • Provide specialized skills for complex network support across multiple scopes.
  • Manage mass event support and new feature Proof-of-Concepts (POCs)/trials/solution validation.
  • Develop automation and AI-driven solutions, including Python development.
  • Lead the design and deployment of reusable Network Planning and Optimization (NPO) use cases for multiple projects.
Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • With 12+Years of experience with proven ability to apply AI/ML methodologies and data science principles to network design, performance, and optimization challenges.
  • Demonstrated capability to independently solve complex technical problems in network design and performance, including fault diagnosis.
  • Strong experience in developing, reviewing, and recommending network-wide designs for performance, spectrum, and capacity, utilizing data-driven insights.
  • Proficiency in analyzing traffic trends, customer forecasts, and data from field/lab tests to optimize network components and predict future needs.
  • Experience in conducting network audits and performance activities, identifying issues, and proposing data-backed solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge working within multi-vendor network environments.
  • Familiarity with developing network configuration files and performing interface analysis.
  • Ability to organize and interpret data from field measurements and laboratory tests to inform network improvements.
