Re:Car, a subsidiary of Re:Build Manufacturing, is a new company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.

Who we are looking for.

An NVH Test Engineer to join our NVH attributes team. The candidate will play a crucial role in solving critical NVH challenges in the program. This candidate will have responsibility as part of a small group of engineers and an organization, that will grow as the product plan matures.

What you get to do:

  • NVH testing activities such as benchmarking, fingerprinting and root cause analysis of critical NVH issues in electric vehicles.
  • Develop detailed test plans and conduct NVH assessments, incorporating modal analysis, Frequency Response Functions (FRF), Operating Deflection Shapes (ODS), and Transfer Path Analysis (TPA)
  • Perform dynamic measurements on vehicle to validate road and powertrain NVH performance and static measurement of structure-borne and airborne noise sensitivity performance.
  • Contribute to the total vehicle integration of NVH requirements, feasibility, and validation at the vehicle level through testing.
  • Working with cross functional teams including vehicle dynamics, powertrain, interior/exterior design, and packaging.

 What you bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in NVH test and development of electric vehicle.
  • Strong technical knowledge of structural dynamics and noise control engineering.
  • Experience in use of test equipment such as modal shakers, impact hammers, microphones and accelerometers, tachometers, volume velocity Source. Must have experience in instrumenting vehicles for NVH testing.
  • Basic knowledge of data acquisition and analysis tools such as Siemens Test.Lab, Head Acoustics and Vector tools (CANalyzer/CANape).
  • Excellent analytical and NVH problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret test data and effectively use it for root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with standard vehicle development program timing and NVH program deliverables.
