A skilled NVH CAE Engineer
specializing in full vehicle NVH development, responsible for conducting
structural dynamics and vibro-acoustic simulations. The role focuses on
analyzing and optimizing full vehicle & trimmed body systems (BIW, interior
trims, and acoustic packages) to achieve NVH performance targets across the
frequency spectrum.
The position requires close
collaboration with design, test, and system engineering teams to deliver
robust, simulation-driven NVH solutions.
- Develop NVH CAE models at full vehicle, trimmed
body, and subsystem levels.
- Execute a range of NVH simulations including
modal analysis, dynamic stiffness, Noise Transfer Function (NTF), and Vibration
Transfer Function (VTF).
- Evaluate simulation results against defined
targets and report NVH performance status.
- Conduct root cause analysis and propose
countermeasures for performance gaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
implement design improvements for NVH optimization.
- Correlate and validate CAE models using test
data to ensure simulation accuracy and reliability.
- Support alignment with VTS targets and
validation planning.
- Contribute to the enhancement of CAE
methodologies, tools, and processes to improve trimmed body NVH simulation
accuracy.
- Provide comprehensive simulation results and
reports covering modal, dynamic stiffness, NTF, and VTF analyses with clear
comparison against targets.
- Generate regular NVH performance status reports
highlighting alignment with targets, gaps, and associated risks.
- Produce detailed root cause analyses and propose
effective, quantified countermeasures for NVH issues.
- Deliver correlated and validated CAE models with
documented accuracy against test data (modal, FRF, acoustic response).
- Support implementation of NVH design
improvements by providing technically justified recommendations to
cross-functional teams.
- Ensure alignment with VTS targets and contribute
to validation planning through simulation insights.
- Enhance CAE processes by delivering improved
methodologies, tools, and automation solutions for trimmed body NVH
simulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a
related field with specialization in acoustics or vibrations.
- 8+
years of experience in NVH CAE, with hands-on exposure to trimmed body or
full vehicle NVH simulations.
- Strong
knowledge of structural dynamics, vibro-acoustics, and noise transfer
mechanisms across frequency ranges.
- Proficiency
in CAE tools such as Nastran/OptiStruct/Abaqus/Ansys and Simcenter/Actran/Virtual.Lab,
along with pre/post tools like HyperMesh or ANSA.
- Experience
in model correlation with test data and ability to interpret results to
drive design improvements.
