The Jewish Home of CNY is looking for a Nursing Coordinator with exceptional organizational skills along with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Operations
- Provides comprehensive administrative support to Nursing Administration.
- Coordinates departmental communications and serves as an administrative resource for staff, vendors, physicians, consultants, and outside agencies.
- Answers telephones, routes calls, responds to routine inquiries, and ensures timely communication.
- Maintains department forms
- Assists with departmental projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
- Maintains departmental filing systems, both electronic and paper.
- Coordinates document retention and records management in accordance with facility policies.
Customer Service
- Provides professional customer service to residents, families, visitors, physicians, consultants, vendors, and employees.
- Maintains confidentiality of all resident, employee, and organizational information.
- Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in all communications.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
- Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and project coordination skills.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Experience in healthcare administration, long-term care, or hospital operations.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Knowledge of CMS and NYSDOH regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting executive or departmental leadership.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to operate computers, office equipment, and communication devices.
- Ability to travel throughout the facility as operational needs require.
Skills Required
