What Will You Do? 

The North America Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing logistics operations across the North American region to support the company's Ambition 2030 growth strategy. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for transportation, import/export activities, trade compliance, and logistics team development. The position ensures scalable logistics capabilities, regulatory compliance, cost-effective transportation solutions, and alignment with business growth objectives.  As the organization experiences significant revenue growth and increasing supply chain complexity, this leader will drive operational excellence, strengthen governance processes, and build organizational capability across the logistics function.  

Main Job Duties: 

Logistics Operations Leadership  

• Lead and oversee North America logistics operations, including domestic and international transportation, and distribution activities.  

• Develop and execute logistics strategies that support business growth, customer service objectives, and supply chain performance targets.  

• Ensure scalable logistics processes and infrastructure are in place to support continued expansion through Ambition 2030.  

• Monitor key logistics performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve cost, service, and delivery performance.  Trade Compliance & Risk Management  

• Provide leadership and governance for import/export compliance activities.  

• Ensure compliance with U.S., Canadian, and Mexican trade regulations, including:  

• HTS classifications  

• Schedule B reporting  

• Customs documentation and recordkeeping  

• Export control requirements  

• Free Trade Agreements and country-of-origin requirements  

• Partner with internal Trade Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to mitigate regulatory risks and maintain compliance standards.  

• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and corrective action initiatives as required.  Transportation & Supply Chain Optimization  

• Drive transportation network efficiency and carrier performance management.  

• Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs while maintaining service excellence.  

• Lead freight procurement support activities and carrier relationship management.  

• Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain resiliency.  Team Leadership & Organizational Development  

• Lead, coach, and develop a growing logistics organization across North America.  

• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures.  JOB REQUISITION APPROVAL 

• Drive employee engagement, talent development, succession planning, and capability building.  

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence.  Cross-Functional Collaboration  

• Partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, Finance, Manufacturing, and Trade Compliance teams.  
 

• Support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and business growth initiatives through effective logistics planning and execution.  

• Provide logistics expertise for strategic projects, business integrations, network design studies, and process improvement initiatives.  

• Perform other duties as assigned by management. 

Qualifications 

Education: 

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field required.  

• MBA, APICS/ASCM, CSCMP, or trade compliance certification preferred.  

Experience: 

• 8+ years of progressive logistics, transportation, or supply chain management experience.  

• 3+ years of people leadership experience managing professional teams.  

• Strong experience with North American transportation operations and international logistics.  

• Experience managing import/export compliance programs and customs requirements. 

• Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.   

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: 

• Deep understanding of transportation management, warehousing, and distribution operations.  

• Strong knowledge of HTS classification, Schedule B reporting, customs regulations, and international trade compliance.  

• Proven leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.  

• Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience managing logistics budgets and KPIs.  

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.  

• Experience working within ERP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
