This role provides a unique opportunity to join J.P. Morgan Private Bank, which advises the world's wealthiest families and helps them achieve their desired goals. As a Senior Associate within our Business Management team, you will support the Private Bank activities in the Nordics, reporting functionally to the Business Manager of JPMorgan SE. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the ongoing business operations as well as strategic implementation of action plans aligned to long term objectives. Your main goal in the role of Business Manager will be becoming a strategic business partner and ensure efficient deployment of the Private Bank's resources to drive sustainable development and long-term success.
Job responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of the Finance & Business plans for the markets under remit to achieve established growth and profitability objectives.
- Ensure that the business is well equipped to perform its activities (e.g., people, technology, policy, and procedures)
- Ensure adherence of the business operations to the control and regulatory framework
- Work closely with Market Manager, Banker Team Leader, Investments Team Leader, Client Advisors on growth and remediations, and develop business management goals and objectives that eventually tend to profitability and business growth.
- Work closely with control and advisory functions (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Control, Supervisory Management) and ensure prompt and initiative-taking intervention on upcoming/potential issues.
- Ensure the control framework is aligned to internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Assess the business performance against benchmarks. Gather, analyze, and interpret external and internal data and draft reports.
- Lead or pivot projects and action plans aiming to improve the business efficiency as well as to enhance the control framework of the business.
- Ensure that internal and external partners and suppliers perform in line with agreed objectives and service level agreements.
- Engage relevant departments in implementing process improvements and engaging with other key stakeholders during implementation of new procedures.
- Represent the business in internal forums, committees, and boards.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Good understanding of investment products and relevant regulatory framework.
- Relevant experience in the wealth management industry.
- Sound understanding of banking financials and wealth management key performance indicators.
- Proficient in English.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision making practices.
- Demonstrate effective presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
