Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Systems Infrastructure Engineer to support a professional services environment with a focus on reliability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience managing enterprise infrastructure technologies including Cisco UCS and Intersight, VMware, Microsoft server environments, and ExaGrid backup solutions. This role involves direct support of a U.S.-based legal services organization and requires strong attention to compliance, data protection, and client confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Cisco UCS infrastructure with integration to Intersight for centralized monitoring and lifecycle management.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Administer Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ExaGrid backup systems, ensuring reliable data protection and timely recovery.
- Ensure all systems meet security and compliance standards required by a legal services environment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders to resolve issues, implement improvements, and support infrastructure initiatives.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of configurations, changes, and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Cisco UCS and Intersight in a production environment.
- Proficiency in VMware administration and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft server technologies and enterprise domain architecture.
- Experience with ExaGrid backup systems is a plus, but candidates with hands-on experience in similar backup technologies such as Veeam, Commvault, or Cohesity are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with data handling, access controls, and audit practices in environments where compliance and confidentiality are critical.
- Ability to operate independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a high-availability environment.
- Must be a U.S. resident and authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Certifications (not required but a plus):
- Cisco Certified Specialist – Data Center
- VMware VCP
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or Azure Administrator
- Relevant ExaGrid training or certification
Work Environment & Schedule:
24/7/365 NOC environment, with shift-based scheduling.
Availability for on-call support, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
