Summary of the role:
The Finance BI & Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of financial systems across the organization. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial data and reporting tools, while collaborating with finance and IT teams to support strategic business objectives.
Finance Business Intelligence:
Lead the development and execution of data-driven strategies to support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making. This role bridges finance and analytics, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business performance and strategic initiatives.
What you will do:
Data Strategy & Governance
- Develop and manage BI strategies aligned with financial goals
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across financial systems
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Design and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and financial models
- Deliver insights on revenue, cost, profitability, and forecasting
Tool & System Management
- Implement and optimize BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
- Oversee data warehouse solutions and ETL processes
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with finance, operations, and executive teams to identify opportunities
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor BI analysts and data professionals
- Foster a data-driven culture within the finance department
System Oversight & Development
- Oversight of financial systems & outsourced partners (ERP Microsoft D365 F&O, Tagetik EPM, Softco AP invoice processing)
- Oversight of upgrades, patches, and system enhancements
- Ensure systems meet regulatory and reporting requirements
Data Integrity & Reporting Oversight
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency across platforms
- Develop and monitor system performance metrics
- Support financial reporting and month-end close processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with finance, audit, and IT teams to align system capabilities with business needs
- Train and support staff on financial systems usage
- Coordinate user testing and feedback for system improvements
Governance & Compliance
- Conduct regular system audits and ensure compliance with GAAP, and other standards
- Manage disaster recovery plans and system backups
Project Management
- Lead financial systems projects from planning to execution
- Document functional and non-functional requirements
- Ensure timely delivery and budget adherence
What we require:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence or financial analytics, finance systems role
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI)
- Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong understanding of financial principles and reporting standards
- Experience with Financial Databases & ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Dynamics)
- Familiarity with EPM/ FP&A tools
