News Journalist & Content Editor
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and talented News Journalist & Content Editor to join Antenna Audio. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging news bulletins, creating compelling digital content, and contributing to the growth of our digital audio platforms.
Job Description
- Prepare, edit, and present weekday news bulletins, including news, traffic, sports, and weather updates
- Operate the sound console and radio automation systems during live bulletins
- Prioritize and select stories based on relevance, timeliness, and audience interest
- Research, prepare, record, and edit news magazine content and pre-recorded bulletins
- Create original editorial content for SOUNDIS websites, apps, and digital platforms
- Produce articles, interviews and lifestyle/music-related content aligned with each radio brand identity
- Propose, develop, and coordinate podcast concepts from ideation to launch, including production, distribution, and promotion
- Identify and collaborate with content creators, contributors, and external partners
- Manage CMS platforms and digital back-end systems for content publishing and updates
- Monitor trends, audience interests, and digital opportunities to enhance content performance
- Work closely with programming, marketing, and digital teams to support broader content strategy
Requirements
- University or college degree in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Very good command of the English language
- Advanced technical knowledge of radio studio equipment and broadcast systems
- Experience with CMS platforms for website and app content management
- Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
- Creativity and innovation mindset
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to a fast-paced media environment
- Team spirit with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Fluent in Greek & English, both written and spoke
