The position
This is a temporary position of 12 months to cover a maternity leave, where you will act as NPP Lead in the
Cardiovascular Disease and Emerging Therapy Areas (CETA) NPP team, with expected starting date 1st
December 2024.
Your key tasks will be to be commercially responsible for R&D projects across the CETA portfolio, working
within the project team of a drug candidate to develop the target product profile and early positioning,
collecting primary and secondary data on market conditions and preference shares, and shaping insights into
actionable commercial recommendations.
Some of your responsibilities that you will find:• Drive commercial assessments to enable key project decisions and aligning these though the Early
Commercial Team.• Provide commercial input for the Product Development Plan and creating financial valuations of assets
as they prepare to enter Phase 2 clinical development.• Drive portfolio assessments and development of commercial Guidance to Research, as well as
contributing to the annual value assessment of the late-stage project portfolio.• Coordinate and collaborate with internal colleagues from Research & Development, Commercial,
Global Evidence & Patient Access, Strategic Finance, and Product Supply. You will work in a global
context but interact primarily with headquarter functions.
You should expect up to 10 travel days per year.
Qualifications• A Master's degree in business or economics combined with extensive skills in natural science, or a
scientific Master's degree combined with strong commercial experience• Minimum 2 years' experience working in a pharmaceutical company.• Experience from working in a New Product Planning team. Some experience within Commercial Brand
Teams will be a plus.• Experience with doing financial valuations incl. DCF modelling.• Any expertise in a key function in the drug development value chain, e.g., R&D, Medical Affairs,
Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, will be highly appreciated.

across multiple stakeholders in the company. You have a track record of delivering in high quality and finding
new ways of achieving goals. You are self-driven, proactive and innovative and inspire ways of working smarter.
You strive to take team performance to a higher level and you have demonstrated the ability to work
individually as well as in a team on multiple projects in parallel.
Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication skills will be required.
Please note that the pharmaceutical experience is mandatory for this role. Only candidates with experience
from working in a pharmaceutical company will be considered. Physical presence is required in our offices in
Copenhagen (Søborg), Denmark. Only candidates who are willing to commute to the Copenhagen Area will be
considered
About the department
The CETA Early Portfolio & Insights (EP&I) functional area sets the commercial direction for Novo Nordisk's
future drug portfolio within CETA, including also Chronic Kidney Disease, Alzheimer's disease, and MASH/liver
disease.
The EP&I area consists of departments covering New Product Planning, Competitive Intelligence, Customer
Insights, and Forecasting. Within the EP&I functional area, the NPP team holds the commercial responsibility
for the early portfolio of projects across CETA. In the NPP department you will join a team of seven experienced
business professionals like yourself and you will work in collaboration with the broader NPP team across all of
Novo Nordisk's strategic areas.
You will report to the Vice President of CETA EP&I, Head of New Product Planning.
