New Employee Training Specialist

Essential Functions:

1. Must be able to maintain a positive team attitude and professional demeanor always, putting Circle K’s values and initiatives, such as P.R.I.D.E at the forefront of all training.

2. Conducts professional, consistent and quality driven classroom training to all new hires. Must be proficient with all training lessons and policies to assist new hires.

3. Satisfies training and development needs by facilitating computer based training programs as well as conduct classroom presentations as part of the 2 Day NETP Class.

4. Present Welcome, New Employee Orientation, Safety, Excellence in Customer Service and Techniques of Alcohol Management in a professional speaking voice to all new hires.

5. Conduct and track Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM 01) training to all employees in your respective region(s) every two years or as needed per policy.

6. Conduct and track Techniques of Alcohol Management 02 (TAM02) for Store Managers in your assigned region(s).

7. Partner with Training Store Manager to present a cohesive, positive hands-on training experience, always adhering to the 5 Golden Rules of the Training Store.

8. Verify, schedule and track all new hires through Workday.

9. Process all new hire paperwork to ensure accuracy and legality by verifying proper identification for I-9 requirements.

10. Process all new hire’s social security number through E-Verify and consistently follow up on any issues.

11. Maintain accurate uniform count and report numbers on a weekly basis. Verify orders received upon arrival and add received count to uniform count spreadsheet.

12. Screen potential candidates and provide updates or potential issues to the Market Manager/Region Operations Director and Training Manager.

13. Dispense uniform(s), nametag and In Store Training Passport to all trainees during NETP AZ Division Training Revised 12/16/18

14. Maintains a clean training facility, which includes cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting equipment, etc.

15. Must be able to follow state, federal and company guidelines.

16. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing all additional assignments, as needed.

Qualifications

1. Requires High School diploma and 3-5 years retail and/or training experience.

2. Must be computer literate in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

3. Must possess strong analytical and leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple activities, and

strong emphasis to detail.

4. Must be able to communicate professional both verbal and written.

5. Must be able to always maintain a positive team attitude and professional demeanor.

6. Must be self-motivated to accomplish all assigned duties in a set timeframe.

7. Must have reliable transportation to be able to cover other training facilities during vacations or

as needed.

Work Environment: The work environment described below is an example of those an employee will

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at a normal range.

The lighting will include natural light from the outside as well as fluorescent lighting throughout the

work areas.
