As a New Business Development Manager, you play a role in Industrial Coatings aimed at bringing increased China focus on aggressive business development in the China coatings market to deliver profitable growth. The position reports to NBD Director IC APAC. It is an important position at the interface of our commercial teams to help expand and grow our presence in China.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industries, and markets for business expansion. Implement strategies to target and acquire new customers.
- Build strategic partnerships: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including industry associations, suppliers, and potential collaborators. Collaborate with partners to develop joint business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs, provide solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Act as a trusted advisor and maintain regular communication to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align business development strategies with overall company objectives. Collaborate on product positioning, marketing campaigns, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Prepare and present business proposals: Develop compelling business proposals and presentations to pitch potential clients. Clearly articulate the value proposition, benefits, and competitive advantages of the company's products or services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. Chemical background or familiar with electric power and energy industry is preferred.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in a similar industry or market. Minimum 4years working experience in a paint supplier or related field.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Should be able to work independently with certain level of guidance provided. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Extensive traveling is required.
