Under general supervision, but in line with established policies & procedures, provide a variety of service functions for customers. Answer customers’ questions and explain available products and services to best meet the needs of the customer.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for staying up to date on and complying with all applicable banking laws and regulations as well as CNB policies and procedures.
  • Provide customers with an explanation of different account options and ownership type.
  • Keep up to date on CNBs product knowledge and provide detailed explanations of all bank products and services.
  • Ensure all new accounts are properly processed by preparing all the paperwork and assisting customers in signing the necessary documents.
  • Open IRA and make customer aware of the various legal requirements.
  • Process check orders.
  • File copies of signature cards, death certificates, and corporate papers.
  • Update and process all account maintenance such as name, address, and account signer changes.
  • Initiate order for debit cards, and process documents for lost, closed, or stolen debit cards.
  • Check customer information with the OFAC life.
  • Process customers through CIP program.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in the job classification.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and the public.
  • Ability to work on computer and 10-key, as well as answer phones.
  • Ability to count large sums of money.
  • Make appropriate job decisions following standard office policies and past precedents.
  • Ability to adapt to technological changes and apply new knowledge to responsibilities.

Working Conditions

  • Exposed to a potentially hazardous condition-robbery.
  • Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature.
  • Considerable effort and eyestrain from continued accuracy verification of all work completed.

Physical Requirements

  • Move office equipment, and files weighing 10+ pounds.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to remain in stationary position 80% of the time to process work and assist customers.

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of and compliance with banking laws, regulations, and CNB policies and procedures
  • Ability to explain account options, ownership types, and bank products to customers
  • Prepare paperwork and properly process new accounts, including IRAs
  • Process check orders and initiate/process debit card orders and lost/closed/stolen card paperwork
  • Perform OFAC checks and process customers through the CIP program
  • File and maintain signature cards, death certificates, corporate papers, and account maintenance changes
  • Proficient with computer systems, 10-key, and telephone systems
  • Ability to count large sums of money accurately
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers and the public
  • Ability to remain stationary ~80% of the time and move office equipment/files weighing 10+ pounds
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and maintain regular, punctual attendance
