The 911 Network/Telecom Analyst II performs technical and administrative duties related to the design, establishment, enhancement, and support of Richland County’s 911 center networking environment.
This position is cross-trained to perform the duties of the 911 Network Manager and may perform these duties whenever the manager is absent, or whenever the position becomes temporarily vacant.
Regularly interacts with Richland County department heads and their designated representatives. Travels in personal car to computer sites throughout the County. Regularly interacts with outside consultants, and outside vendors.
Reports to the 911 Network Manager
This position is located at the 911 Operations Center.
EducationMust have successfully completed college level course work in related topics, or have attended related professional seminars. Must be able to supply written proof of completion for all course work and/or degrees that are being used to satisfy the minimum training requirements.
CertificationsMust be able to pass a technical exam, relevant to this job, administered by the Information Technology Department.
A+ certification, MTA/MCP certifications are required. CCNA or Network + certifications are preferred.
LicensesMust possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License. Applicants shall provide a current copy of their Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), obtained at the applicant’s expense.
Compensation Minimum: $59,532.64Skills Required
