The successful candidate will need to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. You must be able to inspire, lead and manage a team from a tech and people perspective.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to work from our customer's Dublin office at least twice per week.
Required skills:
- 3+ years’ experience as network manager
- Experience implementing, managing and delivering within SLAs
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
- Experience troubleshooting network devices
- Experience in working in a multi-partner environment
- Experience in growing a team of network talent
- Ability to engage with a wide range of customers and experience levels
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Managing the outcomes of the network engineer and technical delivery engineers
- Manage vendor and partner relationships
- Work closely with the architecture team and Network Lead on designs, budgets and framework
- Ensure SLA’s and OLA’s are met and reported to the business
- Represent Networks on operational boards
- Team and talent development
- Supporting delivery and operation where necessary
- Maintain continuity, capacity and compliance
Desirable skills:
- Network certification (e.g., CCNA/JNCIA/CCNP) advantageous
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
- Ability to communicate effectively at different levels
- Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
- Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organisation
- A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Dependable and flexible when necessary
- Experience on Network security, LAN and WAN
- Network Engineering or Delivery experience
- Commercial experience
- Experience in team development and training
- Experience in regulated environments and critical infrastructure environments
- Experience in Hybrid Cloud and Network Automation
