The Role

As a Network Services Specialist at Kyndryl, you will serve as the go-to expert for designing, implementing, and supporting cutting-edge local and wide-area network (LAN/WAN) solutions throughout the full lifecycle. You will work directly with multiple networking platforms, protocols, IP, and VoIP technologies to build robust infrastructure tailored to client needs. From conducting cost analyses and developing proof-of-concept solutions to hands-on project execution, you will bridge technical design with business strategy to ensure smooth, secure, and optimal network operations.

At Kyndryl we support all major cloud platforms, so you’ll get the chance to use everything you know – and then some. You’ll also become expert at knowing when and how to call on other SMEs outside your wheelhouse. Thinking your way around pre-existing limitations will grow your creativity and flexibility. Key Responsibility

• Network Solution Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy tailored LAN/WAN solutions, including IP and VoIP configurations, that align with customer requirements and prepare systems for go-live and maintenance.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and resolve network issues, maintain system stability, and coordinate with third-party vendors to install and update hardware and software.
• Project Management & Planning: Review project requirements, translate them accurately to team members, conduct cost analyses, and oversee project timelines to ensure full delivery.
• Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Build and test PoC models utilizing modern networking system technologies to showcase viability for prospective architecture changes.
• Technical Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert across all phases of the network solution lifecycle, providing high-quality guidance to both internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Core Networking Expertise: Hands-on experience with routers, switches, network controllers, bridges, and enterprise networking software.
• Protocol & Architecture Knowledge: Strong technical proficiency in IP, VoIP, multi-platform LAN/WAN design, and underlying networking protocols.
• Problem-Solving & Diagnostics: Proven track record in troubleshooting complex network infrastructure and hardware/software integration issues.
• Project & Financial Acumen: Ability to analyze project scope, estimate costs, manage implementation steps, and clearly communicate technical requirements to multi-disciplinary teams.
• Vendor & Client Management: Skilled in liaising with external hardware/software vendors and providing technical service to clients.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience focused on network support, configuration, and implementation
• 6+ years of experience in core switching, routing, MPLS, and firewalls
• Networking and security architecture and engineering support experience across local, regional, and global domains.
• Ability to effectively execute multiple IT projects and deadlines with limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) deployment and data center experience.
• Experience with design and implementing Software Defined Network (SDN) and large complex networks.
• Experience with protocols and technologies such as, BDP, OSPF, MP-FBP EVPN, VXLAN, or VPC.
