Description
The Wireless Transmission Network Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining wireless transmission networks. This role involves conducting feasibility analyses, developing pre-engineering studies, and ensuring the seamless operation of microwave links and other transmission equipment. The candidate must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
The role also requires excellent communication skills to coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring the successful execution of network transmission projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Planning
- Conduct pre-feasibility analyses for microwave links, assessing performance and technical requirements.
- Develop pre-engineering studies to support network expansion and upgrades.
- Prepare comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOMs) for transmission projects.
Project Execution & Coordination
- Coordinate and provide necessary technical documentation to Rollout Area for execution, including TSS (Technical Site Surveys) and Link Surveys.
- Supervise and validate detailed engineering reports to ensure network performance and regulatory compliance.
Data Management & System Integration
- Upload and maintain engineering data for transmission links in both internal and client systems.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards and best practices for network engineering.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical assistance for the optimization and troubleshooting of transmission network issues.
- Analyze and resolve network faults to maintain service quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance network efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- More than 3 years of experience in mobile networks, preferably in wireless transmission.
- Advanced proficiency in Portuguese (mandatory) and English.
- Strong expertise in microwave transmission systems and other transmission equipment.
- Experience with link calculation software (PL4, PL5, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
