Network Perimeter – Team Lead

As a Network Perimeter Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in managing our network perimeter and security infrastructure, primarily focusing on security components like PaloAlto, F5, Cloud solutions (GCP and AWS), and infrastructure automation. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for leading a team of network perimeter engineers, overseeing the development and implementation of on-prem and cloud-based solutions, and ensuring the security, reliability and scalability of Wix infrastructure. In your day to day, you will:

• Lead and manage a team of network perimeter engineers while mentoring and coaching team members to develop their skills and knowledge

• Take full ownership of all Wix network perimeter environments, continuously improving our offering to the Wix organization, including designing, building and implementing solutions based on security and company requirements

• Develop and implement infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible

• Monitor domain SLA’s and optimize network security, resilience and cost 

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operation and integration of infrastructure, and proactively communicate progress and blockers

• Identify and implement new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability

• 5+ years of technical experience in on-prem and cloud networking environments as a senior engineer

• 2+ years of management experience as a team lead or similar

• Expert knowledge of networking and security components

• Proven experience with AWS and/or GCP

• Understanding of security risks and vectors both for inbound and outbound traffic

• Strong experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and Ansible

• Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for technology and a willingness to learn new things
