TECKpert seeks to hire a Network Operations Engineer to support our client in Tallahassee, FL. This role will focus on ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the client's network infrastructure. As a Network Operations Enginer, you will collaborate with IT teams to implement network changes, troubleshoot complex issues, and develop migration strategies to the cloud.
Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:- Monitor and manage LAN/WAN performance continuously to identify and resolve bottlenecks and security threats
- Install patches, updates, and security fixes on network devices to maintain compliance and uptime
- Configure and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and wireless access points
- Develop, implement, and document network security policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans
- Assist with migration from on-premises to Azure cloud networks, including virtual network design and resource provisioning
- Produce and submit weekly and monthly network performance and activity reports to the Project Manager
- Provide after-hours on-call support for network incidents and emergencies
- Consult on technology trends, network architecture, and strategic planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- A minimum of three (3) years managing enterprise network environments across diverse industries
- Deep understanding of networking technologies: LAN, WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless
- Hands-on experience with Azure networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs) and Azure Active Directory access controls
- Proficient with network monitoring and performance analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Strong organizational, verbal communication, and technical writing skills
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and produce complex reports
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or JNCIA
