Purpose

As a key member of our team, your primary purpose is to take ownership of the entire lifecycle of our network and security infrastructure. This strategic role focuses on designing resilient, high-performance architectures and implementing robust, multi-layered security controls. You will be responsible for architecting and operating our complex routing, switching, and high-availability LAN/WAN solutions.                                                                    

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our network and security infrastructure. Your role will focus on designing resilient architectures, implementing robust security controls, and optimizing network performance.

You will architect and operate our complex routing and switching environments and be the lead for designing our high-availability LAN and WAN solutions. A core responsibility will be to deploy, manage, and maintain our next-generation firewall infrastructure and its associated VPN technologies. You will drive the evolution of our network by designing and securing virtualized and multi-cloud infrastructures, leading the implementation of modern security frameworks.

Your duties will also include managing our comprehensive network security solutions, including threat detection and prevention systems. You will oversee identity, authentication, and access control by implementing and managing our core systems and encryption policies. To ensure operational excellence, you will leverage security information and event management platforms, utilize monitoring and forensics tools, and automate network and security processes. A critical aspect of your role will be to integrate various security solutions into a cohesive defense system for both IT and OT environments.

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

have deep, hands-on experience and demonstrable expertise across a wide array of network and security technologies, including:

• Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, IPv6, VLANs, VRFs, and QoS.

• Firewall & VPN Technologies: Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto Networks, along with VPN protocols such as IPSec, SSL, L2TP, and DMVPN.

• Virtualization & Cloud Networking: Software-Defined Networking (SDN), SD-WAN, VMware NSX, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

• Modern Security Architectures: Implementation of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) using solutions like Palo Alto Prisma Access and Zscaler.

• Network Security Solutions: Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), DDoS protection, and endpoint security.

• Authentication & Encryption: Protocols such as RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, Kerberos, and experience with PKI, TLS/SSL.

• Identity & Access Management (IAM): Implementation of solutions like Okta or Azure AD.

• Security Operations (SIEM): Knowledge of systems like Splunk, QRadar, Elastic, or Azure Sentinel.

• Integration Platforms: Connecting solutions within ecosystems such as Cisco ISE or Fortinet Security Fabric.

• Automation & Orchestration: Practical skills using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.

• Monitoring & Forensics: Proficient use of tools like Wireshark and Nagios for analysis and troubleshooting.

• Languages: English (C1), German (Advantage)

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 2050€ /brutto.
