We are currently expanding our infrastructure footprint from a central location to a geo-redundant, distributed architecture across multiple data centers. We are seeking a skilled Network Specialist with a strong cross-functional background to help design and secure this new environment. This is an opportunity to build a state-of-the-art, high-availability infrastructure in a regulated trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Architecture & Strategy: Design and implement secure Inter-DC connectivity, high-performance routing, and switching for a growing multi-site environment.
- Operational Resilience: Develop and maintain high-availability network solutions to ensure business continuity and meet strict SLAs.
- Security & Compliance: Manage advanced firewall configurations and VPNs, ensuring all setups adhere to rigorous banking and security standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Systems team, bridging the gap between Networking and Linux/VMware operations to optimize end-to-end performance.
- Knowledge Transfer: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), documenting network designs and sharing best practices with the wider infrastructure team.
Your Profile
- Network Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of L2/L3 networking, OSPF/BGP, VLANs, and Firewall administration (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
- Systems Proficiency: Solid understanding of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and VMware environments; ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues from the server side.
- Problem Solver: Analytical mindset with experience in complex troubleshooting within distributed environments.
- Communication: Fluent English (written and spoken) is required for our international collaboration.
Desirable Skills (Nice to have)
- Experience in Banking, High-Frequency Trading, or regulated financial sectors.
- Automation experience using Ansible or Ansible Tower.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or relevant security credentials.
