Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team at Sopra Steria Polska, for a client that provides support critical infrastructure projects across healthcare and hospitality environments.
Responsibilities:
- Consult and process network alerts, including warnings and incidents
- Support network performance tracking and bandwidth optimization
- Maintain up-to-date network equipment and systems (patching, firmware upgrades)
- Maintain accurate asset and fleet management records
- Administer and configure network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) and ensure security compliance
- Backup and document all equipment configurations
- Prepare and execute production releases and technical documentation for network changes
- Implement and manage SD-WAN and LAN integrations across sites
- Manage changes and integrations between the Entity's networks and those of the Cloud in continuous deployment technologies
- Perform troubleshooting and escalation for critical incidents
- Collaborate with internal Norwegian and Polish teams
- Collaborate with external vendors for network deployments and upgrades
- Ensure failover and redundancy testing on key infrastructures
- Automate network configuration and deployment
Tech stack on the project:
- Fortinet (Firewall)
- Cisco access-points, switches and routers (Meraki and Catalyst)
- Big IP F5 (Modules LTM,APM,ASM) / Proxy, Reverse proxy
- Ubiquity (WAN/LAN)
- Network monitoring and inventory tools
- VMWare
- ServiceNow
Must have requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet solutions
- Knowledge of LAN/ Wi-Fi technologies
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and communicate effectively in English (German and Dutch proficiency beneficial, but not required)
- Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to network reliability
- Certifications such as CCNA and Cisco Meraki Solution Specialist (CMSS) or equivalent required
- Certifications such as CCNP or equivalent strongly preferred
- Structured in operations and documentation
- Customer-oriented, ensuring stable and responsive end-user experience
- Team player, effective in cross-technology collaboration (network, EUC, security)
- Proactive in identifying performance improvements and capacity needs
Nice to have requirements:
- Ubiquiti UniFi Professional/Admin certification
- F5 Certified Administrator, BIG-IP
