Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Network Engineer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be a core contributor to the network infrastructure supporting Parsons Federal Developers, navigating unique and complex product development environments

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices across diverse environments

  • Monitor network performance, ensuring integrity and uptime meet all SLA/SLO requirements

  • Provide oversight of tenant networks in collaboration with Security Engineers or Information Analysts

  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated support issues across cloud and local infrastructure

  • Design, implement, and monitor automated tasks to optimize network operations

  • Collaborate with operational and functional teams across the Parsons enterprise, including occasional travel for face-to-face interactions

  • Communicate effectively with highly technical end users, customers, and peers globally to resolve issues

  • Maintain and update comprehensive technical documentation

  • Recommend improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of industry experience as a Network Engineer designing and deploying functional networks

  • Professional certifications (e.g., JNCIA, CCNA)

  • Strong understanding of network operating systems (e.g., Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS, Juniper JUNOS)

  • Solid background in network administration and architecture

  • Knowledge of micro-segmentation best practices

  • Familiarity with NSX-T processes and usage

  • Experience with Azure and AWS cloud networking

  • Deep understanding of internet communication and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), with emphasis on BGP

  • Familiarity with access control models and network security principles

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Ansible)

  • Familiarity with DevOps philosophies, practices, and tools

  • Knowledge of monitoring protocols (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX)

  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Logic Monitor, LibreNMS)

  • Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions (e.g., NetBox)

  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • ​Experience with Nautobot for network automation

  • Familiarity with VMware Aria suite of products

  • Experience with Prisma SD-WAN or PCCET or PCNSA certifications

  • Experience with next-generation firewalls (NGFW)

  • Networking AI Experience is a plus

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $55,300.00 - $96,800.00
