Summary
This role is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and modernizing the enterprise network infrastructure that enables secure, reliable communications across the bank. The Network Engineer III will serve as a senior technical contributor, Tier III escalation resource, and project lead for medium-to-large network initiatives in a highly available, regulated financial services environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as a Tier III escalation resource for complex network, wireless, WAN, voice, and telecommunications incidents.
Lead medium-to-large infrastructure deployments, technology refreshes, network modernization projects, and operational improvement initiatives.
Design, configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless platforms, SD-WAN components, and supporting network services.
Support enterprise WAN, LAN, wireless, voice, Genesys Cloud connectivity, and carrier transport services across a large branch and corporate footprint.
Partner with Information Security and infrastructure teams to support network segmentation, access control, secure connectivity, and defense-in-depth network architecture.
Support PCI segmentation initiatives and help maintain alignment with financial services regulatory and security expectations.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, problem management, and corrective action planning for critical service disruptions.
Follow enterprise change management processes and participate in scheduled maintenance activities.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and operational support teams.
Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, standards, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
Engage telecom carriers, technology vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver network services effectively.

Qualifications
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
Minimum Experience
Eight (8) or more years of enterprise networking and/or telecommunications experience.
Licenses & Certifications
CCNP Enterprise or equivalent certification preferred; CCIE highly desirable
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Experience with Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, Catalyst Center, and enterprise wireless platforms.
Experience supporting network infrastructure in financial services or another regulated industry.
Knowledge of Network Segmentation, PCI DSS, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FFIEC guidance, GLBA, or similar regulatory/security frameworks.
Experience with network automation using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, Ansible, or related tools.
Experience supporting large multi-site enterprise networks, including branch, corporate, data center, and contact center connectivity.
Experience with voice, unified communications, telecom carrier management, or Genesys Cloud support.
