The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and security of the organization's network infrastructure. This position ensures reliable and secure network connectivity across all locations, supports multi-site WAN/LAN environments, and plays a key role in infrastructure planning and network security initiatives.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure across all organizational locations
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Administer network segmentation including VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and guest network isolation
  • Monitor network performance and availability using network monitoring tools and respond to alerts
  • Manage DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM) across the environment
  • Maintain and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote access VPN connections
  • Support and administer SD-WAN and cloud-based networking solutions as applicable
  • Implement and maintain firewall policies, access control lists, and network security rules
  • Cybersecurity awareness training
  • Monitor network traffic for anomalies, intrusion attempts, and policy violations
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments and remediation of network-level findings
  • Enforce network security best practices in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements including HIPAA
  • Manage IDS/IPS systems and respond to network security events
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new network infrastructure for facility expansions and new site deployments
  • Evaluate and recommend networking hardware, software, and services
  • Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for circuit provisioning, troubleshooting, and escalations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams, documentation, and asset inventory
  • Support structured cabling, rack management, and data center infrastructure as needed
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for network-related issues
  • Mentor junior IT staff on networking concepts and best practices
  • Collaborate with systems, security, and application teams on cross-functional projects
  • Communicate network status, incidents, and planned changes to IT leadership
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Completes all required trainings prior to deadline
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of network administration experience in a multi-site enterprise environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with managed switches, firewalls, and enterprise wireless platforms
  • Proficiency with network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, and QoS
  • Experience with UniFi, Cisco, Meraki, or similar enterprise networking platforms
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, or similar
  • Knowledge of HIPAA security requirements as they relate to network infrastructure preferred
  • CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent certification preferred; CCNP a plus
  • Experience supporting healthcare or multi-site organizations preferred
  • Must be available for on-call response to critical network incidents.

 

Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and TB skin test
  • Ability to work in equipment rooms and data center environments required.
  • May require travel between locations for on-site network support and project work.
  • Must continuously listen, visualize, and have dexterity and eye-hand coordination
  • Ability for simple grasping and speed work
  • Must frequently sit, squat, reach, use both right and left forearm rotation, walk and climb stairs
  • Must occasionally kneel, twist, have the ability to grasp firmly, lift and carry, push and pull in excess of 30 lbs.

Skills Required
