- Assess the business impact of emerging technologies and future IT infrastructure trends.
- Analyze infrastructure requirements and recommend improvements or capital projects that support business needs.
- Establish and maintain endpoint hardware, software, access, security, backup, and support standards.
- Coordinate the deployment and lifecycle management of network equipment, servers, endpoints, and related IT hardware for Dortec.
- Evaluate and implement technologies that improve network performance, capacity, reliability, resiliency, and security.
- Manage and configure VMware ESXi and Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI data center clusters.
- Keep systems current through operating system upgrades, patching, firmware updates, vulnerability remediation, and planned maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, endpoint, and connectivity issues in office and factory floor environments.
- Provide help desk escalation support for network, server, endpoint, Microsoft 365, and access-related issues.
- Provide technical support by phone, remote access, or site visits as required.
- Respond to IT issues involving hardware, software, networking, MFP and label printing, identity, security, access and related infrastructure systems.
- Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software, and identify practical continuous improvement opportunities.
- Modify and maintain configuration standards for infrastructure systems, Linux environments, Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID / hybrid identity environments.
- Set up, configure, and support equipment and access for new users.
- Install, configure, test, patch, and monitor servers, infrastructure software, and related services.
- Support servers, Cisco LAN/WLAN, Fortinet firewall/WAN/ technologies, endpoint troubleshooting, network security, and the overall infrastructure landscape of the business.
- Manage UPS systems, backup platforms, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Monitor and plan server capacity, storage utilization, network performance, and overall infrastructure health.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Provide support and complete other tasks deemed appropriate by the department manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, information systems, networking, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in network, systems, or infrastructure administration.
- ITIL, Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, Microsoft, or related infrastructure certifications are considered assets.
- Experience administering Windows Server, Windows 11, Linux Ubuntu/Debian, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory, conditional access, MFA, and hybrid identity management.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, batch scripting, or legacy scripting such as VBScript.
- Working experience with VMware ESXi, Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI, NetApp or similar SAN storage, and backup or disaster recovery platforms.
- Experience supporting LAN/WLAN, VLANs, routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and network security technologies.
- Experience with endpoint deployment, patching, ISRC/endpoint protection, inventory, monitoring, and ticketing or change management tools.
- Experience supporting IT systems in a manufacturing, plant, or production environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, troubleshoot effectively, and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to support technical and non-technical users.
- Comfortable working in a diverse, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Salary Range: $65,000 to $80,000 annually
