Role Summary:
The Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and customer retention across an assigned portfolio of customers, add new customers and target accounts across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Operating within a global matrix organisation, the Sales Manager will work closely with country operations, regional leadership, and global commercial teams to position Inchcape as the partner of choice operating throughout the Benelux and German markets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, decision-makers and stakeholders across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer businesses, strategic priorities and challenges to identify opportunities and deliver value.
- Manage strategic account plans, customer engagement and regular business reviews to strengthen relationships, satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new and existing business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling the company’s services and solutions.
- Achieve agreed sales, revenue, growth and profitability targets while supporting wider regional and global commercial initiatives.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, tenders, pricing exercises and proposal development.
- Ensure customer expectations are aligned with operational delivery, supporting onboarding, implementation and service expansion where required.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and customer needs, sharing insights internally to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity and forecasting information within Salesforce and provide regular performance reporting.
- Ensure commercial activities comply with company policies and governance requirements, proactively identifying and managing commercial risks.
- Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, industry events and conferences.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the marine services, port agency, shipping or wider maritime industry, including key market trends and customer operating models.
- Proven commercial experience with a track record of driving revenue and profitable growth.
- Strong business development skills, with experience identifying opportunities, managing sales pipelines and closing commercial agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage strategic customer relationships, including engagement with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in commercial negotiations, contracting and pricing.
- Knowledge of key account management, customer relationship management and strategic account planning.
- Experience working effectively within a matrixed, multinational organisation.
