Job Description
We are looking for a proficient .net developer, who understand the architecture of different workflows of our analytics product and enhance the existing architecture for optimization. Providing out of box solutions is one of the key responsibilities of the role. One of the key responsibilities is to own the team deliverables, review and guide the team wherever applicable. The role requires working closely with team(s) in Hyderabad and in Boston. Also needs to work with different stake holders like product management and client teams.
Job Purpose:
To cater the needs of handling and managing deliverables of a scrum team in Hyderabad. In the multi-layered architecture of the analytics product, there is immense need of optimal implementations with regards to performance and communication between different layers, so the job needs to be performed by an expert engineer who has hands on in handling different real time problems. The team constitute members with cross-functional & cross technical skills, and it is part of a bigger Software Development Group for our product across the globe for EES, plays a crucial role in product release along with other scrum teams in Hyderabad.
Job Duties:
- You will learn and understand the existing product architecture design of EES products.
- Contribute to the development, which may span across multiple products with middleware components in a smart client, SOA architecture using C#, WPF, WCF, Entity Framework, LINQ and design pattern- MVVM.
- You will develop unit tests for newly implemented components in MS Visual Studio.
- Proactively contribute to software performance optimizations and continuous improvements to code quality, robustness, and development processes
- Prepare designs which are optimal and acceptable by our architects.
- Guide the team in various development activities by taking ownership, including review of all the code which is delivered.
- Develop data models and stored procedures by following best practices in view of performance, scalability, and security.
- Create database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, UDFs etc.
- Prepare documentations and specifications.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Around 8-10 years of experience in developing commercial-grade .NET applications using C# as the programming language with SQL server as the database.
- Should have good understanding of .NET framework.
- Should have good experience on WCF IS must.
- Should have experience on LINQ and Entity Framework
- Good to have WPF and TSQL experience.
- Should have good knowledge on best practices for data access.
- Should have experience in designing architectures using design patterns.
- OOP/Object/Component-oriented design and programming
- Multi-threading on Windows platform
- Code reviews, pair programming
- Good troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Should be familiar with version controlling packages like TFS/VSS
- Strong working experience and knowledge of SQL Server 2008 and above with proficiency in performance tuning, troubleshooting.
- Skilled at writing and optimizing large complicated stored procedures.
- Strong understanding on SQL Server concepts, Execution Plans & SQL Profiler etc. Working experience on dynamic SQL is a plus.
- Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
- Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Below skills will be an added advantage:
- Unit testing frameworks for C#/.NET
- Code refactoring tools such as ReSharper
- Microsoft BI stack - SSIS/SSAS/SSRS
- Infragistics controls experience
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- AWS Developer certifications.
- Angular experience.
- Experience in leading a team.
