.NET Software Architect

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced .NET Software Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing secure, scalable, and high-performance applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
This is a highly technical role within a core product development team serving clients across the Life Sciences industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in both evolving existing products and developing tailored solutions that address specific client needs. Healthcare or Life Sciences experience is beneficial but not required.
Our team operates within IQVIA Consulting and focuses on building innovative web applications and providing consulting solutions that support critical business processes such as forecasting, pipeline planning, and launch planning. Through our work, we help life sciences organizations make better decisions that ultimately support improved patient outcomes worldwide.
Product Environment
The role will support a combination of:
- A suite of established products that have successfully proven their value in the market and are now focused on growth, scalability, and expansion.
- Client-specific solutions and configurations leveraging existing expertise, frameworks, and product modules.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to both areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of secure, scalable, high-performance .NET applications.
- Participate in full-stack development activities across front-end and back-end components.
- Utilize technologies including ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, promoting best practices in architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and application support.
- Collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, product teams, and cross-functional partners to define requirements, scope, and delivery timelines.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of quality, maintainability, security, and performance.
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation, technical specifications, and implementation guidelines.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, development methodologies, and industry trends to continuously improve product quality and engineering practices.
- Drive system scalability, performance optimization, and modernization initiatives across the product portfolio.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and development tools to support product growth and innovation.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on .NET technologies and full-stack application development.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale software solutions.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing architectural direction across development teams.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Extensive experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Strong understanding of database design, development, and administration, including SQL Server and/or MySQL.
- Experience building secure, scalable, and high-availability applications.
- Deep experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency, code quality, and developer productivity.
