.NET & SharePoint Developer

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional .NET & SharePoint Developer to join our La Valletta, Malta UniQue team, who will design, develop, implement, test, and maintain information systems for the European Institution, including the Paperless application. The position involves working across .NET development, SharePoint (On-Prem and Online), Azure services, and Microsoft Power Platform while collaborating with the ICT team and business stakeholders. The professional is expected to deliver high-quality solutions independently and maintain full technical documentation.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Develop applications using .NET (4.x/6+), C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework.
• Implement backend components, APIs, design patterns, and database schemas.
• Build and maintain unit tests for front-end and back-end functionality.
• Transform approved UI/UX designs into final user interfaces.
• Administer and maintain SharePoint On-Prem environments (farms, servers, service applications).
• Customize SharePoint via web parts, event receivers, and other On-Prem features.
• Configure and manage SharePoint security, roles, permissions, and governance policies.
• Develop workflows using SharePoint Designer, Nintex, or similar tools.
• Configure and optimise SharePoint Search Service, including schemas and managed properties.
• Manage supporting SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, backup/restore, and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and resolve SharePoint issues, including performance and log analysis.
• Work with hybrid SharePoint environments integrating On-Prem and SharePoint Online.
• Translate European Institution's designs into functional SharePoint Online pages and components.
• Use Azure AD, Azure DevOps, and Azure App Services for identity, versioning, builds, and deployments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Develop business solutions and automations using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Create scripting solutions using PowerShell for automation and SharePoint management.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Testers, and stakeholders.
• Analyse requirements, propose technical improvements, and ensure feasibility.
• Report activities in JIRA, maintaining daily updates on assigned tickets.
• Contribute to analytics, monitoring, usage reporting, and security assessments.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and support project reporting.
• Perform tasks using the DevExpress component library.
• Handle website support tasks as required.

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• Bachelor Degree + minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience
