Overview: Litera is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer with a passion for .NET and C# development to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for crafting clean, maintainable, and extensible code, contributing to our suite of sophisticated web applications. We are looking for someone with a strong command of modern software development techniques and methodologies, who is ready to take on the challenge of delivering scalable and secure software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in C# with a comprehensive understanding of the .NET framework

  • Capable of driving the development process from design to deployment

  • Committed to writing high-quality code with a focus on best practices and security

  • Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives

  • Eager to mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members

  • Write clean, maintainable, and extensible C# code with a minimum number of defects

  • Source expert-level knowledge of modern software development techniques and methodologies

  • Provide guidance on modern software engineering techniques for code reviews

  • Take ownership of product features from estimates to design and development

  • Refactor and improve existing software for better scalability and performance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Quality Engineering, to complete tasks

  • Manage individual priorities, estimates, deadlines, and deliverables

  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members to foster their professional growth

  • Innovatively shape product designs and feature enhancements

  • Maintain a key role in the design and development of product areas

  • Demonstrate knowledge of software and security best practices, such as object-oriented design patterns

  • Deliver solutions that scale and perform effectively across various environments

  • Perform additional duties as required to support the team and projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related experience

  • 5-8+ years of software development experience with strong C# and TypeScript/JavaScript coding skills

  • 4+ years of experience with .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and Web/REST APIs

  • Proficiency in HTML5/CSS and a solid foundation in UI/UX technologies

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, Entity Framework, and unit testing frameworks

  • Familiarity with software development tools, including Microsoft Visual Studio, GitHub, Jira, and Azure DevOps

  • Experience with CI/CD, automated build and deployment processes, and cloud computing environments, preferably AWS

  • Bonus Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Java and experience refactoring Java code to C# is highly valued

  • Understanding of AWS cloud technologies, containerization (e.g., Docker), and Kubernetes

  • Experience implementing cloud-optimized code and familiarity with cloud architecture best practices

  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities

  • Ability to multitask and effectively handle competing priorities.
