Natural Gas Apprentice

What you'll be working on:
- Assist in the installation, inspection, and repair of natural gas pipelines and related infrastructure, including installing remote meter reading devices, meter reading, line locating, painting meters.
- Learns to detect and respond to gas leaks using specialized equipment.
- Supports routine maintenance tasks under the supervision of experienced technicians including, traffic control, landscaping, stocking of trucks with equipment, supplies and tools.
- Operates hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Participates in emergency response activities as needed.
- Documents work performed and maintain accurate records.
Who you are:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely
- Able to work within a diverse workforce
- Some knowledge of hand tools or maintenance acumen
- Ability to follow all safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred
