As part of its continued growth in Southeast Asia, the company is looking to strengthen its commercial presence in the Philippines by hiring an experienced and driven sales professional who can operate independently and build business in a focused and proactive manner.
National Sales Manager/ Senior Sales Manager (based in Manila, Philippines)
Organization Overview: This is a critical commercial role within the organization, and a priority hire for the regional team. Based in the Manila office, this position will take full responsibility for developing and driving sales activities across the Philippines market as an individual contributor. The role will focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships directly, and expanding the company’s presence across relevant industrial sectors - such as Food & Beverage, Pharma, and industrial water / wastewater / waste flow applications. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Head of Business, and the role requires a high level of independence, commercial maturity, and the ability to manage the territory autonomously.
Sales & Business Development: Drive sales growth across the Philippines by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities within assigned industrial segments. Take ownership of the full sales cycle from prospecting and customer meetings through to proposal development and closing.
Market Development: Actively approach the market with a strong hunter mindset. Identify new customers, open doors with relevant stakeholders, and build a healthy and actionable pipeline through direct customer engagement. Develop business within sectors such as Food & Beverage, Pharma, and industrial water, wastewater, waste flow applications, with a clear emphasis on industrial customers.
Customer Engagement: Meet customers regularly across the Philippines to understand their operations, requirements, and future needs. Build credibility with clients by positioning suitable technical and commercial solutions.
Territory Ownership: Manage the Philippines market independently with a high degree of accountability. Plan travel effectively, prioritize opportunities, and drive momentum without the need for close supervision.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with regional stakeholders and internal teams to ensure timely support, technical alignment, and smooth commercial execution.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Around 8 to 10 years of sales experience is preferred, particularly in industrial B2B environments.
- Proven success in capital equipment, industrial food machinery, process equipment, water treatment, wastewater, food processing, or related industrial solution sales.
- Experience in industrial Food & Beverage and/or Pharma segments would be highly relevant.
- Candidates with industrial water / wastewater treatment sales experience to industrial customers will also be of strong interest.
- Background from a competitor or closely related industry would be advantageous.
- Strong hunter mentality with a track record of winning new business and building pipeline proactively.
- Comfortable working as an independent individual contributor with responsibility for managing a territory autonomously.
- Clear, concise, and effective communicator with the ability to engage customers in a direct and commercially relevant manner.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Philippines.
