Objective: The National Account Manager role will make an impact on our growing Retail business unit, with a focus on managing and growing the Walmart ecosystem and Club channel business. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive profitable growth with an excellent customer experience. The national account manager will fully leverage cross functional teams and capabilities to drive retail success.
You are expected to work with little direct supervision, establish and evolve innovative strategies, make and advocate for fact/insights driven decisions and leverage your cross-functional partners.
The National Account Manager is accountable for the strategy, performance and execution of our business within the Walmart ecosystem and the Club channel.
Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Sunday's Walmart and Club revenue and trade budget
  • Developing, gaining alignment, and executing strategies for growing the Sunday business at Walmart and within the Club channel
  • Creating and driving plans for consumption and market share growth of the Sunday portfolio
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships across multiple category buyers, successfully championing business ideas, recommendations, and points-of-view with the customer
  • Creating data- driven, fact-based, brand specific presentations for regular account meetings and business line reviews in order to build the relationship
  • Identifying and mobilizing opportunities across product assortment, planogram strategy, distribution and merchandising
  • Owning and managing the operational day to day for Walmart and the Club channel, leveraging cross functional partners, and building process where needed to increase efficiency and execution of the business
  • Tracking and actioning customer, category and competitive performance insights alongside key performance and productivity metrics to understand the business, identifying opportunities and/or addressing business challenges
  • Delivering insights-based recommendations that drive Sunday growth while achieving velocity, inventory and profit goals
  • Collaborating cross functionally to ensure the customer voice, expectations and joint plans are integrated into product innovation, marketing, planogram strategy, new product launch coordination and supply chain
  • Collaborating cross functionally to ensure customers metrics are met and maintained across supply chain, compliance and content.
  • Responsible for product assortment management internally and externally, ensuring compliance standards, pricing and item accuracy is upheld
  • Responsible for developing and managing financial and demand forecasts to appropriately service the business, plan for promotional activity and deliver against retail inventory objectives
  • Influence shopper marketing strategy and customer experience to create a unique, but brand aligned, experience in store
  • Influence supply chain and replenishment strategy and execution in partnership with Supply Chain Associate Manager and Operations team
  • Spearhead and contribute to key business unit projects
  • Stay abreast of and educate internal stakeholders on industry trends, category trends and customer strategy


Functional Competencies:
