M9 Solutions is seeking a MySQL Database Administrator to work on a government contract for a client located in Annapolis Junction, MD. An active TS/SCI with FSP is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide MySQL database administration support.
- Install and configure new MySQL servers (versions 5.x and 8.x).
- Design and develop MySQL stored procedures.
- Upgrade MySQL databases, including major and minor revisions.
- Administer MySQL account access, backups, and table spaces.
- Migrate MySQL databases and monitor MySQL server performance.
- Analyze detailed requirements and develop solutions for MySQL environments.
- Conduct routine system health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Perform proactive risk assessment and resolve potential issues during implementation and operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- TS/SCI with FSP security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience administering and engineering solutions with Oracle MySQL.
- Extensive experience with database design, modeling, and interpreting customer requirements related to migration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with MySQL server installation, upgrades, performance monitoring, and security.
- CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
- Experience delivering implementation services for Oracle products.
- Expertise in system optimization, access controls, and security configuration for enterprise database environments.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
