Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all IT infrastructure hosting services, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud services.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure to meet business needs.
- Implement and manage robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
Operational Excellence:
- Develop and enforce operational procedures, standards, and best practices for hosting services.
- Monitor and manage service levels, uptime, and performance metrics to ensure SLAs are met.
- Drive incident management and root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Run bridge calls during the outages with standard procedures.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure hosting environments comply with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- Collaborate with senior management to define and implement the strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure hosting.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities and efficiencies.
- Manage and optimize budget allocation for hosting services.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, service providers, and stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure delivery of services as per agreed terms.
- Communicate effectively with business units to understand requirements and align infrastructure services accordingly.
Project Management:
- Lead infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT infrastructure professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify professional development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) is a plus.
- 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on hosting services.
- Proven experience in leading and managing IT teams.
- In-depth knowledge of server, storage, networking, and cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of security principles and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
