Job Summary:

The MWPA Production Manager is responsible for managing production logistics and supporting recruitment initiatives for the College’s Music, Worship & Performing Arts department. This position ensures consistent, effective coordination of student productions and targeted outreach to prospective students. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts administration or related field.

  • Minimum of three years of experience in performing arts production management or related field.

  • Knowledge of production processes such as lighting, sound, or stage management.

  • Demonstrated organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and basic design platforms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Production and Event Management

  • Oversee production schedules and logistics for department performances and special events.

  • Coordinate with faculty, staff, and technical personnel to ensure timely and accurate execution of production requirements and contracts.

  • Record, file and distribute production meeting minutes as appropriate.

  • Manage event logistics, including venue scheduling and rehearsals.

  • Construct and distribute programs for performances.

  • Coordinate vendors for printing, equipment rentals, and other production-related services.

  • Comply with safety and operational standards for all department events and activities.

Recruitment and Outreach

  • Coordinate campus visits and audition days for prospective music students.

  • Support digital recruitment initiatives, including targeted outreach campaigns and information sessions.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

KPIs:

  1. Production Milestone Completion: Production tasks and deadlines completed on time, including venue scheduling, contracts, rehearsal coordination, program preparation, and vendor management.

  2. Production Meeting Documentation Timeliness: Production meeting minutes recorded, filed, and distributed within 48 hours of meetings.

  3. Responsiveness to Internal and External Requests: Timeliness of responses to inquiries and requests from faculty, students, vendors, and prospective students.

  4. Project Completion: On-time completion of assigned projects, events, recruitment activities, and administrative responsibilities completed by established deadlines.

  5. Audition Logistics: Successfully coordinate recruitment days and auditions as scheduled, with all logistics, communications, schedules, and participant support completed accurately and on time.


Skills Required
