YOUR JOURNEY AT IMC
Your IMC journey begins with a global traineeship, where you'll join graduates from all IMC offices to learn the fundamentals of trading, financial markets, and our world-class technology. Led by experienced traders, technologists, and quantitative researchers, this programme gives you hands-on exposure to how IMC combines data, algorithms, and creativity to trade successfully in global markets.
After the traineeship, you'll continue your learning in your local office, supported by a dedicated mentor. From day one, you'll take ownership of ideas, strategies, and results - shaping your own path in an environment where curiosity and innovation drive success.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Trade a wide range of financial instruments
• Develop, maintain and improve trading strategies and algorithms
• Collaborate with traders to evaluate existing models and suggest improvements
• Build customised analysis tools to explore new research ideas
• Design mathematical models based on innovative trading ideas
• Apply rigorous quantitative techniques to solve complex problems
• Manage the execution and risk of complex trading portfolios

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR?

• Superior analytical and quantitative skills
• Genuine interest in financial markets - no prior experience required
• Experience in a programming language (e.g. Python, Matlab, R or C++) is an advantage
• Academic background in a quantitative field (e.g. Mathematics, Physics or Econometrics)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• A team player - at IMC we're all in it together

WHAT MAKES IT FUN?
You will have ample opportunities to learn and develop yourself both on the job and trough training. We recently set up our Mumbai office less than a year ago, so it is buzzing with start-up culture. You will work in a cool office with fun colleagues and an informal atmosphere.
