Job Summary

Responsibilities & Qualifications

TYLin’s Philippines office is seeking a Multidisciplinary Civil Engineer for the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge (BCIB) Project who will be reporting to the Project Manager or deputy, working in Manila Philippines in fulfilling the delivery objectives for the Detailed Engineering Design for the Project and other projects that will be promoted by TYLin.

Additional Information

• Coordinate with team of specialist engineers undertaking detailed design

• Assists in the review of drawings and submittals, prepare manage and prepare documentations of coordination meetings and performs other contract administration tasks.

• Ensures design compliance with relevant engineering standards and codes, as well as internal QA/QC procedures.

• Engage with clients on project reporting, meetings, and workshops.

• Provide business development support including technical proposal writing, identifying and researching strategic opportunities, and developing positive relationships with clients and municipal/approval agencies.

• Provide engineering support to other offices (as needed) within TYLin.

• Lead by example to promote a high-performance team culture.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

•  2+ years civil engineering is required, with experience

• Must be a registered professional engineer in Philippines or member of International Engineering Charters or Organizations.

• Shall have solid project management skills, client relationship management, and adept in civil engineering principles and code.

• Strong project management and client relationship management skills, along with a strong work ethic, highly dependable and organized.

• Experience in design of structural steel and concrete.

• Familiarity with Philippine design codes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required or equivalent international charters.

• Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.

• Requires knowledge of engineering principals and industry standards.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Strong communications skills (written and oral) and experience coordinating with multiple contractors and trades at one time.

• Knowledge of meeting design schedules and budgets.

• Travel may be required.

• Must possess communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective project team collaboration and relationship building.
