he MuleSoft Solutions Architect serves as the technical and architectural authority for Candescent’s enterprise integration platform. This role is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and reusable API‑led integration architectures across core business systems—including NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Concur, Zuora, and other SaaS platforms.
The architect will drive standards, lead solution design, guide development teams, oversee governance, and ensure integrations align with Candescent’s long‑term platform, security, and data strategies. This role is hands‑on and fast‑paced, ideal for someone comfortable operating in a high‑growth “$500M startup” carve‑out environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Architecture & Design Leadership- Define and maintain the enterprise API‑led architecture (Experience, Process, and System APIs).
- Lead end‑to‑end solution design for new integrations, enhancements, and platform capabilities.
- Produce architectural artifacts including sequence diagrams, interface specifications, and RACI models.
- Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and data governance standards.
- Guide platform decisions around CloudHub 2.0, VPC/Private Space configuration, load balancing, and runtime strategies.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable integration patterns.
- Provide hands‑on oversight of API development using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, RAML/OAS, DataWeave, and connectors.
- Oversee integration development lifecycle: design → build → SIT → UAT → release.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across APIs, orchestration flows, and connected applications.
- Mentor developers and support teams on best practices and reusable asset development.
- Define and enforce standards across API naming, versioning, error handling, logging, and security.
- Review solution designs produced by SI partners (e.g., NTT Data) to ensure compliance with Candescent standards.
- Maintain a catalog of reusable APIs, system connectors, and integration patterns.
- Participate in change control boards and architecture review sessions.
- Oversee MuleSoft environments (Development, SIT, UAT, Pre‑Prod, Production) and associated CI/CD pipelines.
- Define observability standards including dashboards, alerts, and logging using built‑in Anypoint monitoring tools.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance targets are met across integrations.
- Support hypercare, release cutovers, and steady‑state operational readiness.
- 7+ years of hands‑on integration experience, including at least 4 years on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Strong experience designing and implementing API‑led architectures at enterprise scale.
- Proficiency with DataWeave, RAML/OAS, Mule 4 runtime, and Anypoint components (Exchange, Runtime Manager, API Manager, Design Center).
- Direct experience integrating with enterprise systems such as:
- NetSuite (ERP)
- Workday (HR)
- Salesforce (CRM/CPQ)
- Zuora (Billing)
- ServiceNow (ITSM/HRSD)
- Concur, JIRA, Payroll systems
- Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SFTP, and event‑based integrations.
- Expertise with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins).
- Experience leading MuleSoft programs in carve‑out, high‑growth, or transformation environments.
- Ability to create architectural roadmaps and guide stakeholders through options, trade‑offs, and design rationales.
- Experience working with SI partners and managing offshore/nearshore development teams.
- Strong documentation discipline and comfort with producing design artifacts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—able to build consensus and influence cross‑functional teams.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and rapid changes in a startup‑like environment.
- Strong problem‑solving ability with a bias toward action.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect – Level 1
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect – Level 1
- MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1/2
