This Experienced Senior Support Engineer will join our Support Team in providing support for PCs, networking equipment, servers, firewalls, and desktop operating systems for a variety of small to medium-sized organizations. There will be computers and network equipment to be prepped in office for our Project Team to deploy. Opportunity to do projects ( on-site and cloud) as well.
NOT a remote position. Family friendly in terms of scheduling as needed. Certification training materials and approved tests will be covered by the company. Room to grow within the organization- Support Team Lead manager, move to Project Team and vCIO positions..
Responsibilities and Duties
The candidate should not be opposed to performing a wide variety of IT support ranging from simple desktop support to server, firewall, and network issues, as dictated by clients and available work. The candidate will work with the rest of the support team, technical account managers, and our project team.
Qualifications and Skills
Non-Technical:
Must live within 25 miles of Florham Park, NJ. and commute reliably to our offices daily.
Experience working independently while collaborating with other Technical staff as necessary
Willingness to take ownership of issues and take initiative.
Ability follow internal procedures and document tickets and time daily in our PSA and ITGLUE
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are a must.
Commit to continuous education, certification and self-improvement.
Technical
RECENT professional experience with a MSP/VAR or IT consulting firm HIGHLY PREFERRED.
Microsoft Windows (server and desktop), AD/DNS- Proficient
SonicWall Firewall or similar Corporate Firewall-Proficient
Office 365 (administration\troubleshooting)- Proficient
Azure- ( VMs. Virtual Desktops) Working knowledge or higher
Networking connectivity & related equipment- Proficient
Virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V and or VMWare) Proficient
Backup Technologies such as Datto or similar
Experience with ConnectWise Manage, Automate or similar products highly preferred
Meets all assigned technical training goals
