The Entry-Level MRO Procurement Specialist supports the purchasing and availability of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials and services. This role helps ensure timely procurement of parts, supplies, tools, and equipment needed to support operations
Responsibilities
- Procurement Support
- Execute purchase requisitions for MRO parts, consumables, tools, and services.
- Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, planning parameters, and replenishment logic to balance cost and service.
- Identify and assist with resolution of material shortages.
- Request quotes and compare pricing, delivery, and lead times.
- Supplier Support
- Track supplier on-time delivery, lead-time adherence, and performance trends.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding purchase order status.
- Resolve any related purchase order status issues with supplier.
- Track purchase orders from issuance through delivery via company systems.
- Provide support to Procurement Analysts for supplier performance monitoring.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s Degree in the following fields or equivalent experience
- Business, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial engineering, Computer science
Experience
- Familiar with MRP / ERP Systems, JD Edwards E-One preferred.
- 0-2 years procurement, inventory, or admin experience a plus
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query).
- Ability to interpret large datasets and convert insights into actionable plans a plus
