The role demands a candidate with a profound grasp of multibody vehicle dynamics modeling and a rich background in utilizing Modelica Libraries within Dymola. You will be essential in crafting and corroborating simulation models that will bolster our motorsport endeavors. A deep-seated familiarity with motorsport simulation tools is vital, as this knowledge will be leveraged to drive advancements in our simulation techniques and contribute significantly to our motorsport programs' success. Your Skills Abilities (Required Qualifications) Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fieldMinimum 2 years of motorsport (F1, Sports Car, IndyCar, or NASCAR) or industry experience in multibody vehicle dynamics simulationIn-depth understanding of various aspects of vehicle modeling, including suspension kinematics and advanced tire modelsExpertise in developing accurate and numerically efficient complex multibody vehicle models using Modelica Libraries in DymolaExperience optimizing simulation models for use in real-time Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulators.Experience in formulating and solving minimum lap time and quasi-static simulation problems.Knowledge of motorsport simulation tools and their practical applications in high-performance racing environmentsStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate simulation results into actionable insights for vehicle performance improvementEffective communication skills and the ability to interact well with othersDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as required by motorsport demandsThis job may be eligible for relocation benefits#LI-LP2 What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fieldFamiliarity with FMI standards and the use of FMUs in co-simulation and model exchange scenarios for simulationExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing complex simulation modelsDemonstrated passion for creating highly accurate, numerically efficient models for motorsportsPython or C++ programming experience
